A pull-on disposable wearing article has been patented. The article includes a front waist region, a rear waist region and a crotch region extending in a longitudinal direction between the front and rear waist regions. One of the front and rear waist regions has opposite inner and outer surfaces. The inner surface faces the other one of the front and rear waist regions. The outer surface faces away from the front and rear waist regions. The front and rear waist regions comprise on the outer surface: at least a first fastening member and at least a second fastening member, which is juxtaposed to the first fastening member in a transverse direction of either the front or rear waist region. Each of the first and second fastening members comprises a base sheet and a first or second fastening element, respectively. The base sheet has opposite inner and outer surfaces. The inner surface of the base sheet faces and is bonded to the outer surface of the front and rear waist regions. The outer surface of the base sheet faces away from one of the front and rear waist regions. The first or second fastening element is located on the outer surface of the respective base sheet in the portion where the inner surface of the base sheet is bonded to the outer surface of one of the front and rear waist regions. The first fastening element of the first fastening member is releasably engageable with the second fastening element of the second fastening member.
